The total import of bauxite from Australia increased 56.99% to 6.6807 million tons year on year. The import of bauxite from India amounted to 3.4258 million tons, an increase of 3.19 million tons compared with the same period last year.

At the same time, the domestic bauxite import source countries also increased Ghana, Guinea, Guyana, Fiji and Brazil, which showed that domestic alumina enterprises had more diversified import strategies to avoid the impact of alumina production due to the lack of supply or restriction of a country.

According to statistics, China imported 10975000 tons of bauxite from Ghana, Guinea, Guyana, Fiji and Brazil in the first half of the year.

On the one hand, Indonesia repeatedly said that in 2014, it would limit the export of raw ore, and domestic enterprises increased the total volume of goods prepared and the source countries of procurement to avoid the risk of insufficient raw materials; On the other hand, Indonesian local miners have increased their export this year to avoid the inability to export ore after 2014. Two factors have led to the increasing import of bauxite this year.
